Using Blottoir means agreeing to these terms.
The service
Blottoir is a working tool for independent perfumers: a wall of raw materials, a composition bench, formula sheets, batch tracking, MaquetteZero™ and L'Esquisse. Access is by invitation. The service can be interrupted for maintenance.
Data ownership
Everything you record (materials, formulas, trials, accords, batches, notes) is and remains yours. You grant Bodin Creative Lab only the technical right to store and process it in order to run the service for you. We claim no other right on your formulas and use them for no other purpose.
MaquetteZero™ does not learn from your briefs, trials or formulas. It asks you to score its own proposals, and that score stays in your atelier (see Privacy).
L'Esquisse sends what you type in its chat to Anthropic, our AI provider, after you have agreed on screen; Anthropic does not train on it. The Comptoir shows supplier catalogue data with the supplier's written permission; adding a reference to your materials copies its public facts (name, price, CAS) into your own atelier.
Blottoir itself (code, screens, names) remains ours. Your subscription grants a right to use the service; it transfers no rights in the software.
Acceptable use
Use Blottoir for perfume work, lawfully. Do not try to reach another atelier's data, overload or probe the service, or resell access. Published pages must not carry unlawful content.
Published pages
You can publish a page for a formula (Share). That page shows the pyramid only, without materials or doses. You decide each time whether the client brand appears.
By publishing, you confirm you have the right to publish its content, including any client brand shown. Blottoir does not verify that right. You remain solely responsible for your agreements with clients.
We do not read published pages, and we do not moderate them. To report a page, write to contact@jimmybodinparfums.com; we will withdraw it. You can withdraw it yourself at any time, and the link stops working immediately.
Your account
One account per atelier, credentials are personal. You can delete your atelier at any time (My Account → Delete my atelier); deletion is immediate; backup copies are deleted within 60 days (see Privacy).
IFRA and safety information
The IFRA screens are a working aid based on the loaded amendment and the data you record. They do not replace your own regulatory assessment, a safety assessor, or the individual IFRA Standards, which prevail.
L'Esquisse
L'Esquisse is a chat that helps you build a creation plan from your own Orgue. Conversations are counted per your plan's allowance, shown on the price page. Its replies are suggestions. You remain responsible for assessing any formula before you weigh it.
Each conversation sends your messages, your Orgue's inventory (material names, families, stages) and the names of your accords to our model provider; quantities, formulas and costs are never attached (see Privacy).
Price and payment
The free plan needs no card. Your first annual subscription starts with a 7-day free trial (once per account): nothing is billed before the trial ends, and cancelling during it costs nothing. Subscriptions are billed per the price page in force when you subscribe. You can cancel in one click, effective at the end of the paid period. Within 14 days of your first payment you can ask for a full refund, no reason needed.
Payment is processed by Stripe: your card details never reach our servers. Blottoir is a professional tool for perfumers; prices are shown exclusive of VAT, and VAT is applied at checkout where it is due. Invoices and payment methods are managed from your billing portal.
EU withdrawal right. By subscribing you expressly request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that, once the service is fully performed, you lose the statutory 14-day withdrawal right. Your statutory rights remain untouched; the contractual refund above is at least as favourable: a full refund within 14 days, no reason needed.
Active brands. Each plan keeps a number of brands active (1 to 24). On a smaller plan, your most recently used brands stay active; the others sleep. Their formulas remain readable and export to CSV at any time, and upgrading wakes them.
Ending the agreement
You can leave at any time: cancel and let the paid period end, or delete your atelier. We can close an account that breaks these terms; unless the breach demands immediate closure, we warn first and leave time to respond. After closure, backups are purged within 60 days (see Privacy).
Changes to these terms
These terms will evolve with the service. Material changes are announced on the site before they apply, and the date at the top of this page moves with them. Using Blottoir after a change means accepting it; if you disagree, you can leave as described above.
Liability
Bodin Creative Lab's liability is limited to direct damages and, in aggregate, to the amounts you paid over the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
General
Neither party is liable for a failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure). If one clause turns out invalid, the rest stands. We may transfer this agreement with the business that runs Blottoir; your account is personal and stays with you. These terms, the price page and the pages they link to are the whole agreement.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably belongs to the courts competent for the publisher's registered seat, in the Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the mandatory protections, or of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, that the law of that country grants you.
